Nowadays repentance to these same religious folk means to

"change your mind" and... become a "Believer"

So a lot of people are going around,

calling themselves "Believers"...

because they've "changed their minds...?"

BUT WHAT PART OF THEIR MIND HAVE THEY CHANGED?

In the Jewish world Teshuva (Repentance) functionally means to

live as a Jew, observe Torah, daven (pray) and do the tradition...

(traditions selected by the Orthodox, Conservative or Reform Rabbi)

The high level theology of denominational Christianity is so "complex" that if you ask any three Christians what "repentance" is you'll get four or more different answers. However, from the very early days of Yeshua's ministry he proclaimed...

"REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND"

The first thing a person must repent of is breaking the TEN COMMANDMENTS, but this is only the very beginning of a person turning to YHWH. Let's take a brief look at the TEN COMMANDMENTS.

1) I AM YAHWEH	First commandment is not a statement, suggestion or revelation of who YHWH is. This commandment instructs us to recognize YHWH as our Life-giver. It is easier understood knowing that His Name means self existent one, He is not dependant upon anything or anyone for His existence, we are dependant upon Him.
2) NO OTHER ELOHIM	To take another Elohim (God) is to put faith and trust toward anything that is not YHWH. The term God, comes from a pagan diety which means troop or fortune, for many religious people, GOD is the One get stuff from, it can be very easily seen in the religious worlds where people put their faith. Wealthy people are treated as gods, pastors and leaders are treated as gods, many times when the sheep want to know something about YHWH, rather than reading His Word and asking YHWH to reveal Himself, they go to their pastor or someone else who they think knows more about God than they do. This is why false religions are flourishing today, because people put men into authority positions and elevate them to god status. An easy example is that YHWH says keep Shabbat, but the Pastor says NO, when a person listens to their Pastor they've made another god unto themselves. The Rabbis say, "don't make Torah attractive to the Gentiles" and "don't tell Gentiles to observe the Shabbat", so whoever hears the Rabbi over the Word of YHWH and His Prophets has made a god out of their Rabbi. see Isaiah 56; Acts 13:42 Exodus 31:13 "the children of Israel" also included the mixed multitude that came out of Egypt and joined themselves to YHWH's people.
3) DON'T TAKE THE NAME OF YHWH IN VAIN	The Name of YHWH vigorously avoided by both Jews and Christians. For Christians it is an embarrassment and great inconvenience to vocalize the Name of Yahweh. The Name of YHWH for most Christians is foreign or "too religious", and they have theology that tells them that YHWH told their church founders to replace the Name with titles, like Lord and God, this is their status quo. Rabbinical Jews put their own spin on the Name of YHWH, their rhetoric tells people that YaHWeH is "too holy" to pronounce, so they play little games and use haShem (the Name), Adonai, or Elokim rather than show fidelity and respect for the Name of YHWH. This reverse circular thinking of the Rabbis effectively gives them authority over the Name, they put themselves in a higher position of the Name of YHWH and His Torah, the Christian world has followed their lead.
4) KEEP THE SHABBAT	YHWH created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. Shabbat begins at sunset on Friday night and goes to sunset at the end of Shabbat. The Seventh Day Shabbat is a memorial of Creation, just as the world was without form and void and darkness was over the earth, so does Shabbat begin with a dark period and go into a light period. Seven represents completion, but it also represents Covenant and a Seal for all YHWH's people. The Christian world found the Shabbat to be "too Jewish", and they opted for the Sun-day, straight from paganism. The Christians finger Paul the Apostle for changing the Shabbat from the 7th to the 1st day of the week. The early church founders were sun worshippers and pagans who heard of Messiah and wanted a piece of the action, but they didn't want to be too "Jewish" so to attract larger numbers of adherents to Christianity, they made Christianity an easier fit for the average pagan. The Shabbat of YHWH is eternal, even the Prophets of YHWH foretell of the Shabbat observance in the Millennium and the New Jerusalem. Those who don't observe the Shabbat are willfully transgressing the Word of YHWH, because their Pastors or Rabbis told them they "aren't required" to do it.
5) HONOR FATHER AND MOTHER	Both Jewish and Christian leaders will tell their young converts that they can dishonor fathers and mothers in order to follow their religions. If the Pastor or Rabbi comes up against a father or mother who is in opposition, they will speak against the authority of the parents. Many of them will also lie to the parents to cover up their dissimilation.
6) DO NOT MURDER	The obvious part of this commandment is to not take another person's life, however people in the religious worlds are notorious for slander and libel against those who stand against their false religious systems. Christians, Pastors and Evangelists who are exposed for their lies and worthless unprofitable things are famous for their campaigns to diminish the souls of those who expose them. These men are vertebrae challenged along with all the Rabbis who hold mock funerals for Jewish members of the community who accept Yeshua as Mashiyach. The Rabbis murder the name and reputation of any Jew who they disagree with, they spill their blood by their voracious attacks against their person. They are both murderers and thieves and will be judged as such because they have no shame, their tradition says murder is ok when it is to keep up the tradition.
7) DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY	Christians are routinely given license to divorce their unbelieving spouses, in reality the unbelieving spouse doesn't agree with the social club so they become marginalized by the "Believers". Many times the spouses are not culpable for divorce, they just find themselves in position of being a minority in their own community once their spouse becomes a "Believer". In the Jewish world, Jewish men and woman are easily given a get if they married an non-Jewish person and want to back out of it. Also in the both the Christian and Jewish world if you find the right Pastor or Rabbi you can do anything you want, especially if you have money, much like the scenario of the Catholic mafia who get pardon's by their priests. Yeshua said that anyone who is culpable as an adulterer will not enter into the Kingdom of Elohim, he stated that anyone who is divorced because they hardened their hearts against YHWH within their marriage is an adulterer if they remarry. Yeshua teaches this and the early disciples wrote it down, I didn't write it.
8) DO NOT STEAL	The level of stealing in the religious worlds is similar to the non-religious world, however the judgment on the Believer will be much more harsh, because they are stealing directly from YHWH when they steal, and they know it, but continue to do it. Stealing is not only taking from another, but it also happens when one refuses to give as required. In the Western world, most Christians and Jews spend over 95% of their annual revenues on themselves, their buildings, their own programs and entertainment. Torah teaches that a part of all we have is to be laid up for the widow, fatherless and those who have fallen on hard times due to circumstances beyond their control, as well as those who are teaching Torah a raising up others, but many "believers" give to campaigns that are not of YHWH or His Mashiyach, as required by their peer groups.
9) DO NOT LIE	A lie is not of the truth, the religious world marginalizes the truth on many levels, especially when it comes to teaching others about the level of righteousness that Mashiyach Yeshua requires his people to walk in. The biggest lie of the Christian world is that a person cannot be righteous, they are sinners who can only be justified. This teaching is from the pit of hell, it is satan's finest spin on the truth, yet Christians mouth it off as the gospel.
10) DO NOT COVET	Contentment with righteous character is great gain, yet the vast majority of people in the religious worlds work most of their lives, and only a small percentage of their time is given to advance the Malchut Elohim. Because they covet this worlds goods. The "standard" of living they make for themselves is based on acceptable levels of covetousness, to them they are not "coveting" but only getting the material things in life they deserve. Many Pastors are on the cutting edge of covetousness, as they demand the same or higher standard of living as the "blessed" and "successful" ones in their congregations. Again, the Pastors and Rabbis are vertebrae challenged souls who might feel a bit ashamed to drive an older model car and live in an older home in a neighborhood that does not reflect their level of refinement and wherewithal. Some Pastors and Evangelists argue that they have to outwardly show they are prosperous so that others will be attracted to their gospel. Some have huge visions to convert the world and beg for resources to do this so they can fly bog jets and command huge amounts of other people's cash, because of the self importance and covetousness, which has become an acceptable "attribute" within their religious world.

We've only looked at a few levels of defilement of the 10 commandments, there are many many other levels including the peshat (simple) and basic foundational applications, as well as the other 613 Commandments in Torah. Very few Believers are aware that there are another 200 commandments given in the Ketuvim Netzarim. We've looked at how the modern religious systems have put their own spin on the Word of YHWH and given themselves a license to violate the 10 commandments. Do you think the 10 commandments have been changed since YHWH first Wrote Them With His Finger? How foolish the religious people are, and how foolish a person is to willfully come into agreement with those who feign being Yeshua's Disciples. It's one thing to follow the pretense if one knows better, but a lot of Christians and religious people know that they haven't arrived any where near the place Mashiyach wants them to be, and they also know that if they turn toward YHWH and observe His Torah, that their Pastor and their entire church will turn against them, hard. Believers who are vertebrae challenged, put their trust in others, the Good News and the Work of Suffering that Yeshua accomplished for them is powerless to evoke true Discipleship.

It is a wicked and evil "church" that teaches repentance only means to "change your mind" and become a Believer or a Christian, rather than turn from sin and Observe Torah. It's a shame this is taught from pulpits far and wide, when the underlying truth means to repent, to TURN to YHWH and stop breaking his Commandments. Repentance does not mean to turn to a church, or go somewhere for a meeting, go to a synagogue to hear the Rabbi or Pastor and get that warm fuzzy acceptance of others. On the contrary if one does not have a very deep remorse for their sin and a child like willingness to obey YHWH and "follow the Lamb wheresoever he goeth", they don't have a hope in hell, because they have not surrendered their carnal nature for the spiritual man. They have just dressed up the carnal man in religious clothing.

After serving as both a Pastor and Rabbi I know what it is like to have people asking for assurance of salvation and wanting to make things right with YHWH. I know how easy it is to steer a person after they've hit rock bottom and been sifted into a piece of bread because of their transgressions. I know what the Pastors and Rabbis are doing, it's hellish, it's demonic and it will be judged with very strict judgment come the return of Mashiyach ben David. The fact of the matter is that the Pastors and Rabbis have NO FEAR of YHWH, they do not believe the Word of YHWH because they are not convinced that YHWH in fact exists so they feed people with man's religious traditions rather than Truth.

Many religious men act as though YHWH is an abstract, He is a power force that is always evolving, because their understanding of Him from the days of the ancients has evolved, they have no confidence that He is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever and His WORD changes NOT! This is why the religious world must head towards Jacob's Time of Trouble, it's going to be Jews and Christians who will be fodder for "Revelation," not only the "secular" unbelieving evolutionist who has spurned the Living Elohim.

A wedding garment is a highly necessary and symbolical item for attending a wedding. The wedding symbolizes Yeshua receiving His people as His Bride (perfection), his people are now having their "garments" washed in blood so they will become white (righteous). Herein lies the spin of "the Believer" in their thinking that "Yeshua or Jesus did it all", so all the Believer has to do is "Believe" but...

FAITH is stronger than thoughts and words,

Faith Keeps the Commandments,

and the Commandments of YHWH

CANNOT be Burdensome!

The "Belief" or functional theology of Christo-Pagans that Yeshua is the doormat for sin, is Luciferian theology. Yeshua Commanded Judgment, Mercy, and Faith, but the false Church is embarrassed to uphold Righteous values that have been established by YHWH as Eternal attributes of the Malchut Elohim. To "repent" is to make Teshuva, to turn to YHWH and to Keep His Commandments. Repent is to be sorrowful for sin and make certain we stop sinning, and we let the Ruach transform us into the Image of Elohim. We are to become new creations. To repent is to see our need for Mercy and to know the shame of sin and then not bring more shame upon ourselves and to the Name of YHWH and His Mashiyach Yeshua. For those who do not repent, the blood of Yeshua was offered in vain and WOE to those who take the Name of YHWH and His Mashiyach in vain.

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Mashiyach, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward Elohim, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if YHWH permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Ruach HaKodesh, And have tasted the good Word of Elohim, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of Elohim afresh, and put Him to an open shame. For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from Elohim: But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected,

and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 6:1-8

The fact of the matter is there is no potential in a person who accepts "doctrine" or "theology" for their salvation. However the modern church systems continue to use the name of Jesus to endorse their false religions. The fact of the matter is that religion is not discipleship, and it never has been. "Religious traditions" are not only the dead works that Yeshua taught against, but they are fashioned in a manner so that a person cannot repent, he is not allowed to because this would be an embarrassment toward the pastor and other members of the congregation. The tradition of making one's doctrine an icon of belief, is the icon of paganism. False religion has made cerebral belief the standard by which they are "accepted into the beloved", rather than developing a LIVING FAITH TOWARDS YHWH ELOHIM.

The proud can't repent and very few are smart enough to realize they need to have a spirit of repentance, before they can even entertain the thought! When a person realizes the nature of their pride, then they can be assured that the Ruach of YHWH is revealing the need for repentance, because these things just doesn't happen unless one is being invited into the Kingdom of Elohim. I'm sure you are like myself and know a lot of people who think themselves above the Kingdom of Elohim, some believe YHWH is a fabrication of the Jews, and Yeshua is a fabrication of the pagan Christians. There is nothing a person can do for these people, except suggest they pray and ask for a spirit of humility and appreciation for the Life YHWH has given them. It's important to help others realize that they can also become humble enough to realize that the world doesn't revolve round them. Repentance is the right thing to do, because Torah says this is what is pleasing unto YHWH and His Mashiyach, so even if we don't want to do it, we must, and the rest will follow.

There are others who compare themselves with others, they look at the Orthodox Jews or Christians reading playboy magazines or picking up prostitutes off the streets and they know that they are not so bad as these religious people, so they feel they have no need to repent, because they are better than others. One time I was speaking with a prostitute in Vancouver BC about the Kingdom of Heaven, and she said, "I know this is wrong and I am ashamed, but what about the Christian girls who are screwing their boyfriends, how are they different than me." How foolish to compare oneself to others. YHWH has given each of us life, and unique gifts and abilities, He requires us to respond to Him with true intent of our own hearts, not someone else's. Nobody needs a relationship with Yeshua more than I, without being connected to Mashiyach, there is no life. Sure there are much worse "sinners" than you, but then again, have you lived to your ultimate potential according to why YHWH gave you life? From His perspective? Have you learned from Him as His child or have you been too distracted and gauged your relationship with him by those around you? The fact of the matter is that those who think others need "religion" and they don't, are in denial of their own need and potential. A person once said to me, "I wish I could believe like you, I wish I had that wonderful relationship with God like you have, I tried, but it didn't work for me", this person was extremely well read, a walking library, intellectually head and shoulders above most, very wealthy and well known. I could only say to her that if she spent the amount of time with Yeshua that I did, that maybe she would have a relationship with him today, in other words don't try to baffle me with your nonsense, you are free to make your choices just like I, and YHWH is no respecter of persons so the fact of the matter is that only Heaven knows what mighty things you could have wrought through the Name of Mashiyach, if you hadn't been out chasing the almighty dollar and the praise of men for most of your life.

NOW is the acceptable day of salvation, but the reality of the matter is that you will have to flee the churches and synagogues to find YHWH and His Mashiyach Yeshua. The religious systems of the world are based on Babylon, they function on the premise that everyone can have the jobs the want, live in the house they want, drive the cars they want, go on the vacation, watch the movies and TV, eat the food, and live like the rest of the world, just believe and confess you are a Christian or observant Jew. What a travesty! What a deception! Repent means to turn from the way of the world and don't make excuses for yourself. The real beginning of a relationship with YHWH starts with repentance, this is what Yeshua accomplished when he came to earth. "From that time Yeshua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17 The Ruach haKodesh has not stopped preaching everlasting message, if it is not heeded then we take another trip around the mountain, to find ourselves in the same place as the last time YHWH brought the need for repentance to our hearts.

"And Yeshua answered and spoke again in parables unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the marriage feast: and they would not come. Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden, Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise; and the rest laid hold on his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. But the king was wroth; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then said he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they that were bidden were not worthy.
